How do I diagnose a logical or physical crash? If the partition of your Harddisk is formatted or deleted accidently and if the Harddisk is getting detected by the BIOS, then the crash is termed as Logical crash. If your Harddisk is not detected by the BIOS, and/or if you are getting more noise from your Harddisk, and/or if your Harddisk has developed Bad Sectors, and/or if your Harddisk is burnt, and/or if your Harddisk is inactive, and/or your Harddisk is physical damaged, it is identified as a Physical crash. Can I use the same Harddisk after the data is recovered? Yes. In case of most logical crashes it is possible but it also depends on the severity of the crash. How can I copy the recovered data from RDS lab, if I don't have a spare Harddisk? We keep your recovered data at RDS lab on your request, till you either get another good Harddisk, or a DLT tape or any other Media(s) that can hold all your recovered data. How RDS data recovery service is different from RAID5's fault tolerance? With RAID5 fault tolerance features, any one can recover the data with the failure of maximum of 1 physical disk. But at RDS, we can recover your data from the RAID5 array, even with the failure of 2 physical disks. Can I copy the recovered data in DVDs? Of course yes. We can copy your recovered data onto DVDs. Either you can procure the DVDs or we can arrange on your request. How long my recovered data is stored in RDS lab, even after the call is closed? By default, we keep your recovered data at RDS lab, for a maximum period of 2 days after the closure of your call. After which, your data will be automatically shredded by our system (unrecoverable deletion). How about the Confidentiality of customer's data at RDS lab? All the data recovered for our Customers are confidentiality handled. You can trust us completely. We respect the value of your data. |
